Privacy Policy
Draft — pending final legal review · Last updated: June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BOLD("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the BOLD mobile app and this website.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name and email, provided when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Fitness data — goals, body metrics, workouts, plans, streaks and achievements you create in the app.
- Mirror photos — progress photos you choose to add. These are stored privately and can be locked behind Face ID.
- Purchase data — subscription status processed through our billing provider, RevenueCat (we never see your card details).
- Device & usage data — app diagnostics and advertising identifiers used to show rewarded and sponsored ads.
How we use your information
To provide and personalize your training, generate AI coaching and plans, maintain streaks, process subscriptions, show ads to free users, and keep the app secure and working.
AI coach
When you use the AI coach, relevant training context is sent to Google's Gemini models to generate guidance. It is used to produce your response and is not used to train third-party models.
Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to run BOLD:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database and storage.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Google AdMob — advertising for free users.
- Google Gemini — AI coaching features.
Advertising & tracking
Free users may see rewarded and sponsored ads via Google AdMob. On iOS we ask for App Tracking Transparency permission first; declining does not affect your access to features.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and data at any time — see Delete your account.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Mirror photos are kept private to your account and can be protected with device biometrics.
Children
BOLD is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
